Bolsover Castle

Bolsover castle is a 17th century house built on the site of a Norman fortress. Sir Charles Cavendish, son of Bess of Hardwick (from nearby Hardwick hall) started the construction of the castle in 1612.

The castle has excellent views over the Vale of Scarsdale.

The castle hosts many events as well as being a tourist attraction in itself.

Opening times.
1 Apr - 30 Sept 2003: Daily, 10am-6pm.
1 - 31 Oct 2003: Daily, 10am-5pm.
1 Nov 2003 - 31 March 2004: Thurs-Mon, 10am-4pm.
Closed 24-26 Dec and 1st Jan.
May close earlier for evening events.

Family ticket £15.50 (2 adults, 3 children)
15% discount on groups of 11 or more.
